26-year-old pop singer Halsey (Ashley Frangipane) surprised fans with her pregnancy on Jan. 27 through a photoshoot she had done for the big reveal. She had three photos posted, captioning it “surprise!”, and appeared to be following a “rainbow” theme.
Halsey was earlier diagnosed with endometriosis, as she had three miscarriages with the third occurring in 2015 while on tour. This became a tragic point in her life as she was so happy being pregnant and eager to start a family. She had her eggs frozen, and in 2017, she went through several surgeries with hopes of overcoming this condition and having a healthy baby. While there is currently no cure for endometriosis, there are certain surgeries to treat it which can make it easier for pregnancy.
Halsey shared her endometriosis scars and fans are giving her endless support
She shared with fans via an Instagram Story not only her baby bump, but the surrounding scars from her surgery in earlier years. “The scars that got me this angel,” she captioned the story, “#EndoWarrior.”
The surgery — done in order to increase the singer’s chances of pregnancy — obviously worked and brought her so much light in her life.
‘My rainbow’
Halsey’s tweet reading “My rainbow” was shown to indicate a healthy baby and a true miracle for her after the heartbreaking miscarriage. Rainbow conveys a sign intended to show light after a dark time.
“Thanks for the love, I’ve been bursting at the seams for the past 48 hours,” Halsey tweeted a few days after, “It’s wonderful to celebrate something with you all after years of sharing all the sad stuff.”

Screenwriter, boyfriend and alleged co-parent, Alev Aydin
Aydin is the supposed co-parent of their miracle baby, as the two have been dating and even got matching tattoos together reading “Seeds”, in each other’s own handwriting.
Tattoo artist, Amanda Owley, posted on Instagram with Halsey captioning, “‘Seeds’ is for planting seeds. She said this is cosmically the best week to plant seeds in your life. I agree.”
Through the endless social media posts and tweets, it’s evident to see that Halsey is extremely ecstatic and glowing. Through all of the hardships she’s been through with something that is hard for her to talk about, she’s finally getting to where she wants to be.
“And just so we’re aware, if it wasn’t for COVID I woulda done the tour pregnant,” she tweeted, showing her thanks to fans for their support during this time as well as how happy she truly is now.
