Bachelorette Clare Crawley, 39, and Dale Moss, 32, fell in love quickly during the short duration of the 16th Season of The Bachelorette on ABC. However, the two have officially called it quits after only a few months of their engagement. On Tuesday, Jan. 19, Moss publicly posted via Instagram about ending their relationship on an apparent “mutual” level.
“I wanted to share with you all that Clare and I have decided to go our separate ways,” Moss said. “This is the healthiest decision for both of us at this time.”
However, Crawley claims that she was blindsided by this “mutual” agreement to break-up, hence, the morning of Jan. 21, Crawley broke her silence on the topic through her own post on Instagram.
“The truth is I am crushed,” said Crawley, “This is not what I expected or hoped for and am still trying to process this.”
Crawley also stated that their relationship was “not perfect”, but she was “invested with all of [her] heart.”
Though the reason for the sudden end to their engagement is currently unknown, there are several theories
Sources say Moss is believed to have a “mystery woman” that Crawley was insecure and skeptical about throughout their relationship. However, other sources claim that Moss wasn’t ready for all things that encompass marriage, especially since the couple did have a 7 year age difference.
Dale’s sister, Robyn Moss, threw shade toward Crawley as she posted an Instagram Story the same day that Crawley spoke out, Jan. 21.
“I can proudly say, still until this day, NOBODY has had or will ever have my brother’s back like I do,” Robyn said.

Truly trying times for Crawley
“This is not what I expected or hoped for and am still trying to process this,” Crawley stated.
“2020 was one hell of a year, with COVID, battling severe anxiety post-show, balancing a public new relationship, all while slowly losing my mother. It hasn’t been ideal circumstances, but that is life right,” Crawley said.
Crawley is continuing to stay strong during this time and informs her audience that she “may not have all the answers” as she doesn’t agree with any of the sprawling media rumors. She is still attempting to understand what went wrong and why things ended the way that they did.
As for Moss, he has mentioned a lot was going on in both of their lives. Things were moving fast and unknown change seemed to be overwhelming.
“We strongly believe in leading with love and always remaining true to oneself,” Moss stated. “We only hope the best things for one another.”
